Finding

SITF has determined this plant to be Pelatantheria insectifera, not P. rivesii (Oct 2026). The globular appearing lip crest on the midlobe matches P. insectifera, it's shape and position is consistent with that of P. insectifera and is not present in P. rivesii. The lack of hairs on the column is inconsistent with P. rivesii. This flower size is closer to P. insectifera at 1.5cm; P. rivesii is much smaller at 8mm.
