Pupulin annotated the award form and changed the name under which the
plant was entered and awarded from Trichopilia marginata to Trichopilia x
crispa , a natural hybrid which he described to the judges as the natural
hybrid between Trpl marginata x suavis. So it is clear that he was not
referring to Trpl marginata.  The hybrid formula indicated by
Pupulin to the judges matches what is listed by the WCSPF as Trichopilia × ramonensis GarcÃa-Castro &
Mora-Ret. ex C.O.Morales, Lankesteriana 5: 18 (2002), a natural hybrid
endemic to Costa Rica. Â

o  the natural hybrid has been artificially raised as Trichopilia Charles.
o  Chair Fighetti informs Jose that he has no way of determining if the plant was artificially raised or
jungle collected but that, he tends to believe it was not jungle
collected.\
