See basic growing conditions and care information below.
Grow plants of Cephalanthera in pots of sandy loam with the addition of some limestone. Provide intermediate temperatures, full sun, and regular watering during the growing season. Tropical species do not require a hard resting period. Temperate species should be overwintered in an alpine greenhouse or cold frame. The sole species from North America, C. austiniae, is an obligate saprophyte and can not be cultivated.
