Overview
Leafless epiphytes. Stems simple or branched. Inflorescences axillary racemes, the floral bracts minute. Flowers minute. Sepals and petals free, spreading. Lip unlobed, free, spurred at the base. Column short; pollinia 2, borne on a single stipe.
Etymology
From the Greek chauliodous, meaning having outstanding teeth, referring to the large tooth on the labellum.
Distribution
A monotypic genus endemic to tropical Africa.
