Overview
Epiphytes or caespitose terrestrials. Stems erect, leafy. Leaves numerous, two-ranked. Inflorescences terminal desnely-flowered racemes, the peduncles short, the floral bracts conspicuous. Flowers cupped, nodding, secund. Sepals and petals subequal, free, spreading. Lip three-lobed, sessile, the callus of low parallel keels. Column elongate, arching, without wings or foot, the clinandrium toothed; pollinia 8.
Etymology
From the Greek di, meaning double, and lochos, meaning row, referring to the two-ranked floral bracts of the inflorescence.
Distribution
A genus of six species from Southeast Asia to the Philippines and New Guinea with the highest diversity in Borneo.
