Overview
Trailing terrestrials rooting at the nodes. Leaves ovate, petiolate, clustered toward the stem apex. Inflorescnces terminal, long-pedunculate racemes, the floral bracts inconspicuous. Flowers inconspicuous. Sepals and petals free. Lip three-lobed, deeply saccate-spurred, without callus. Column short, without wings or foot; pollinia 4, sessile on a common minute viscidium.
Etymology
From the Greek eurys, meaning broad, and kentron, meaning spur, referring to the large saccate spur of the flowers.
Distribution
A genus of seven species from New Guinea and neighboring islands.
