Cranichideae subtribe Goodyerinae; formerly included in a broadly defined Erythrodes Blume.
Overview
Scrambling terrestrials rooting at the nodes. Leaves cauline with sheathing bases. Inflorescences terminal, erect, pedunculate racemes. Flowers tubular. Dorsal sepal and petals connivent, forming a hood, the lateral sepals swept back more or less parallel to the ovary. Lip tubular, fleshy, with a spur. Column arched, the rostellum bifid or two-toothed, with two horizontal stigmas; pollinia sectile with small caudicles and viscidium.
Distribution
A genus of about eight species distributed from Mexico to Peru.

Grow Kreodanthus is a terrestrial mix in a cool greenhouse under medium to low light levels. The plants should be watered frequently and not be allowed to completely dry out. All species have a rambling habit and growing in shallow pans or flats is recommended.
