Overview
Pendent-trailing epiphytes. Rhizomes narrow, terete, sparsely rooting. Leaves one per secondary stem, sessile, leathery. Inflorescences terminal, subsessile. Flowers one. Sepals and petals free, spreading. Lip unlobed, minutely saccate at the base, apically with strongly incurved margins forming a pouck-like sac, the callus of multiple parallel ridges. Column straight, the clinandrium irregularly toothed; pollinia 6, of one larger pair and two smaller pairs, attached to a common viscidium.
Distribution
A monotypic genus endemic to Brazil.
