Diurideae subtribe Caladeniinae; previously including Pyrorchis and Waireia.
Overview
Terrestrials arising from tubers, with horizontal unbranched roots. Leaves usually solitary, erect. Inflorescences erect, scapose, few-flowered racemes. Flowers cupped at the base. Sepals and petals free, spreading, spidery. Lip obscurely three-lobed, sessile, with the surface glandular. Column arching, winged; pollinia 4 or 2 and then cleft, granular.
Distribution
A genus of two species endemic to Australia and Tasmania.

Grow Lyperanthus in small pots of terrestrial mixture. Provide bright diffuse light, intermediate temperatures, and steady watering whilein active growth. After flowering watering should be kept to a minimum.
