Etymology
From the Latin, mobilis, meaning mobile, and labium, meaning lip, referring to the lip which is flexibly articulated to the column foot.
Distribution
A monotypic genus endemic to eastern Australia.

Plants of Mobilabium may be grown in pots using a medium-grade epiphyte mixture or they may be mounted on slabs without any moisture-retaining material at the roots. The scrambling habit, however, is best accomodated in small baskets with or without potting material. Provide bright diffuse light, intermediate temperatures, and regular watering throughout the year.
