Etymology
From the Greek myron, meaning perfume, and osmodes, meaning fragrant, referring to the strongly fragrant flowers.
Distribution
A genus of about nine species restricted to the high Andes of South America. This genus was previously included in a broadly defined Aa Reichenbach.

Grow plants of Myrosmodes in bulb pans or azalea pots of terrestrials mixture. Provide full light, cool temperatures, and regular watering throughout the year. The plants go dormant each year but do not require a pronounced rest period.
