Overview
Miniature caespitose epiphytes. Pseudobulbs subtended by non-foliaceous bracts. Leaves 1, erect, lanceolate. Inflorescences basal, pendent racemes. Flowers resupinate (with lip lowermost). Dorsal sepal and petals free, spreading, the lateral sepals fused for nearly their entire length. Lip obscurely three-lobed, clawed, deeply concave, with a complex callus extending as a continuation of the claw. Column elongate, from a narrowly terete base, dilated on the upper half, the anther dorsal; pollinia 2, on a common oblanceolate stipe and minute viscidium.

Endemic to Colombia.

Grow Notyliopsis in small pots with a fine epiphytic potting mixture or on small slabs with a pad of moisture retaining material at the roots. Provide medium light levels, cool-intermediate temperatures, and steady water throughout the year.
