In honor of Prince Gaston d’Orléans, Comte d’Eu, patron of floriculture in Brazil.
Distribution
A genus of 8 species from northern South America.

Grow plants of Orleansia in small pots or baskets of medium grade epiphyte mixture. Care should be taken to avoid overpotting. Provide full light, intermediate to warm temperatures, and regular watering throughout the year, allowing the roots to fully dry out between waterings.
