Overview
Vining, mostly achlorophyllous saprophytes. Stems frequently branched, rooting at the nodes, with foliaceous bracts subtending the inflorescences. Inflorescences axillary panicles. Flowers produced simultaneously. Sepals and petals free, spreading. Lip sessile, forming a nectary at the base by fusion of the hypochile and column, the disc often verruculose. Column curved, without a foot; pollinia two, on a transverse viscidium.
Distribution
A genus of eight species found from southern Asia to New Guinea and Australia.
