Overview
Rosulate terrestrials. Roots fasciculate, fleshy, villose. Leaves petiolate, often absent at flowering. Inflorescences erect, scapose, spicate racemes. Flowers not resupinate. Sepals and petals free, spreading, subsimilar. Lip unlobes, broadly cordate-ovate, with erect-involute margins, ornamented with margins papillae. Column short, without a foot, with two stigmas, the anther dorsal; pollinia 2, granulous, sectile, with a minute viscidium.
Distribution
A genus of 20 species ranging from Costa Rica to Bolivia with one species in Jamaica.
