Overview
Miniature caespitose epiphytes. Pseudobulbs ovoid, compressed. Leaves two, linear-oblong, arching. Inflorescences solitary, terminal. Flowers cupped. Sepals and petals free. Lip unlobed, partially fused to the base of the column, with a pair of parallel raised keels. Column stout; pollinia 8, in two groups of four.
Distribution
A genus of two species endemic to Brazil.

Grow Pygmaeorchis on small slabs without moisture retaining material at the roots. Provide full light and cool temperatures. Water frequently while in active growth allowing the roots to dry between waterings. Water less frequently when the plants have finished flowering until the onset of new growth.
