Etymology
Named to honor Pierre Robiquet, a French chemist, for his numerous discoveries, including caffeine and morphine.

A genus of about 40 species from India to the islands of the Pacific Ocean. Plants and flowers of Robiquetia are similar to those of Pomatocalpa but have only two pollinia and lack the conspicuous tongue-like backwall callus of that genus. Several species

Grow plants of Robiquetia in pots or baskets of medium to coarse-grade epiphyte mixture. Provide warm temperatures, bright light levels, and regular watering throughout the year. Several species, especially occasionally lithophytic species such as R. cerina, root only at the base of the stem and can become somewhat gangly with age.
