Overview
Trailing epiphytes with proportionately thick, fleshy roots. Stems very short. Leaves one per stem, leathery. Inflorescences erect panicles, the branches few-flowered. Flowers cupped. Sepals and petals free, subsimilar. Lip obscurely three-lobed, basally subsaccate, without callus. Column stout, fleshy, dilated-club shaped; pollinia 4, sessile on a common viscidium.
Distribution
A genus of two species from South India and Sri Lanka.

Grow Sirhookera in shallow bulb pans with a medium to coarse-grade potting mixture or on horizontally-suspended slabs with minimal moisture retaining material at the roots. Provide intermediate temperatures and bright light. Water heavily while in active growth with reduced, maintenance watering after the growths have matured.
