Bulbophyllum-zamboangense-2023-06-14 *SITF has confirmed this plant as Bulbophyllum zamboangense (Jun 2023).
This plant matches the photos in the IOSPE and the OW; however, there is very little literature on this species. The description in the OW states: "4-angled, yellow pseudobulbs carrying oblong-elliptic, leathery, very slightly unequally bilobed apically leaves". The pseudobulbs on this plant are 4-angled and the leaves are very slightly unequally bilobed. The pseudobulbs are yellowish-green. Very good match to five images in the orchidroots.com. The inflorescence is much longer in this plant than the description.

Bulbophyllum-tremulum-2023-06-09 *SITF has determined this plant to be Bulbophyllum saltatorium, not Bulbophyllum tremulum (Jul 2023).
Although the photography is insufficient for a good, detailed analysis of ths plant, it lacks the ovate bracts on the inflorescence and glaucous coloring of Bulbophyllum barbigerum. The flower shape and lip hairs are also incorrect for B. tremulum. The major difference between B. saltatorium and B. tremulum is the petal shape. B. tremulum has petals that are elliptic-ovate and ornately ciliate; the petals of B. saltatorium are not. In the lower left photo showing this flower, the petal shape is linear and in the award description, the petals are noted as "horn shaped and curved upward, which would better fit Bulbophyllum saltatorium.

Bulbophyllum-graveolens-2023-05-21 *SITF has confirmed this plant as Bulbophyllum graveolens (May 2023).
An award was given to B. graveolens with a spotted dorsal sepal by the AOC and several photos in orchidroots.com show spotted dorsals with the name B. graveolens var. robustum, which is not recognized by Kew. Kew does recognize Cirrhopetulum robustum as a synonym for B. graveolens. The "Orchids of New Guinea" website also pictures examples of a spotted form where the spotting is carried out onto the lip.

Bulbophyllum-obliquum-2023-02-05 *SITF confirms this plant as Bulbophyllum obliquum (Jun 2023).
Bulbophyllum trifilum flowers are very similar to B. obliquum; however B. trifilum does not match in plant form, on inflorescence length, leaf shape, the number of flowers per inflorescence or in flower size. The leaves of B. obliquum and this plant are flattened, oblanceolate and the rhizomes are long and floral bracts acute. The leaves of B. trifilum are terete. Supporting photos may be seen in the IOSPE.

Bulbophyllum-tricornoides-2022-12-11 *SITF confirms this plant is Bulbophyllum tricornoides (Apr 2023).
This plant was previously identified by Leslie Garay as B. tricornoides; the combination of very long, forward-pointing carinae at the apex of the column and lip without ridges fit this species; B. tricornoides and B. tricorne are very similar, the difference in characteristics are the teeth of B. tricorne are short, blunt and sharply downturned; the teeth of B. tricornoides are long, sharply pointed and extend straight out from the apex of the column; this plant fits the characteristics of B. tricornoides; there is an almost identical photo to this plant in the IOSPE.

Bulbophyllum-infundibuliforme-2022-10-24 *SITF has determined this plant is not Bulbophyllum infundibuliforme, but is a species of unknown origin (May 2023).
One photo of this plant shows a leaf that appears to be articulate, which is not correct for this genus. This plant does not match the image in Kew's Plants of the World On-Line (POWO) for B. infundibuliforme. The sidelobes of this plant appear too large for B. infundibuliforme. This plant does not match the description and illustration in O'Byrne's 1994 "Lowland Orchids of Papua New Guinea" and the award plant photos do not match the photos by Joan Levy and identified by Garay in the IOSPE.
