Anacamptis-morio-subsp-picta-2022-04-19

Anacamptis-morio-subsp-picta-2022-04-19***Confirmed as Anacamptis morio subsp. picta (May 2022); many photos and drawings in the SOF are a close match to this plant; subsp. picta plants have broader, shorter leaves resulting in more of a rosette, instead of sharply pointed, upright leaves of subsp. morio; inflorescences of subsp. picta are shorter and more congested and lateral sepals are much less inflated than in subsp. morio; the length of the inflorescence of this plant is maximum for subsp. picta, but is minimum for subsp. morio and the inflorescence is dark and loosely arranged; the spur appears thinner than on subsp. morio, all of which better fits subsp. picta.***
