Coryanthes-picturata-2020-06-02***Confirmed as Coryanthes picturata (July 2020) in collaboration with Gunter Gerlach; C. picturata (Mexico/Central America) is very similar to C. speciosa (Amazon basin-Brazil); key determinant is the fragrance; exhibitor stated this plant had a strong, sweet fragrance and believed it was from Costa Rica; exhibitor did not associate any eucalyptus or mint odor indicative of the cineole chemical fragrance associated with the Amazon Basin grouping in Gerlach's study; an excellent match to photos by Senghas in SOF and Varigos and Grobler in OW and IOSPE.***
