*Due to the size of the plant, lack of leafless extensions on which the flowers are carried and the clearly visible gthree-flowered inflorescence SITF has determined this is Dendrobium bilobulatum (July 2018).
Award form: Twenty three flowers and 11 buds on 42 distichous growths to 35cm.,growing in a 9.5 square hanging plastic basket; 1-3 flowered umbel inflorescences; flowers cream; sepals blushed and striped magenta front and back; lip striped magenta, keel yellow orange; substance average; texture crystalline; lateral sepals pointed upwards. Plant was purchased from Natt's orchids and is of South East Asia origin. Pictures do not match those in orchid species by Jay Pfhal but he makes reference to that in his text. Blooms are fairly short lived 7-12 days. It is blooming in June. This is the first time this plant has bloomed for me. I have had the plant for one year.
